McMillon Innovation Studio

Catalyzing Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Arkansas

The McMillon Innovation Studio is a physical hub of innovation supporting creativity, entrepreneurship, and collaboration between all disciplines on the University of Arkansas campus. We exist to shape the future of commerce by developing and enabling students to be catalysts of innovation.

We Believe Students Can Change The Future of Commerce

The McMillon Innovation studio is run by students for students. Students come here to learn, grow, and expand their network while working to solve complex issues. We believe that those who strive to always learn, will be the world’s best innovators.

We believe in the power of human-centered design to solve the most challenging problems in health and retail. Our process is simple — Discover, Create, and Launch. See some of our case studies below.

Is it possible to create a smart, unified solution that reduces the stress of managing diabetes care?

Highway Safety

How might technology create a visual safety cue that promotes safer driving habits?

What is it about the physical store experience that provides satisfaction? Is there a way to replicate that in an online environment?

Is there a way to provide busy individuals with a way to quickly meal plan on-budget?

How might we Uber-fy short shopping trips with friends and networks?

RB’s mission is to create innovative solutions that put health in your hands. The McMillon Innovation Studio was the perfect partner for us to that fit with our mission, and provided students with an opportunity to innovate and prototype around wicked problems in Health & Wellbeing. RB’s culture is one that is focused on making positive impacts on things that matter, which also tied very well with the studio’s focus on creating tangible prototypes quickly. RB very much looks forward to future partnership, as we’ve seen positive benefits from our engagement with the studio, and we very much look forward to helping create innovative solutions that put health in Arkansans’ hands.
